Title: Cloudstreet
Composer: Bryony Marks

Bryony Marks completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Music Composition for Film and Television with first class honours from the University of Melbourne's Conservatorium of Music. In 2001 she attended the inaugural Australian National Academy of Music Composers' Program, taking classes with Professor Simon Bainbridge, Head of Composition at the Royal Academy of Music in London; and Karen Tanaka, formerly of IRCAM, Paris.

In addition to several scores for theatre, Bryony has composed music for some 20 student and short films. She has also received commissions for 15 works for chamber orchestra, including three string quartets, a quintet and a sextet, an opera excerpt and a one-hour chamber opera. In 2004 she was invited to participate in the Song Company and the Australian Music Centre's MODART05.

In 2005 she composed the music for Chris Lilley's award-winning series for ABC TV, We Can Be Heroes. In 2007 she worked with him again on Summer Heights High (ABC TV). She also composed the music for the TV feature, The King (based on the life of Graham Kennedy), and Matthew Saville's debut feature film, Noise. In early 2008 Bryony collaborated with Roger Mason on the music for SBS's new brand identity, delivering more than 200 individual pieces for on-air, radio and internet. In 2009 she completed work on the new TV series for Southern Star, Tangle, with directors Stuart McDonald, Matt Saville and Jessica Hobbs.

In 2010, Bryony completed work on the Hawke telemovie for Channel Ten, directed by Emma Freeman; the ABC TV series, Dance Academy; the second series of Tangle for Southern Star; Chris Lilley's new ABC/HBO television series, Angry Boys and most recently composed the music for the mini-series Cloudstreet for Showtime.

Composer: Guy Gross

Guy Gross is one of Australia's leading film and television composers and recipient of the APRA/AGSC International Achievement Award, considered the most prestigious accolade for an Australian screen composer.

Over his 25 year career, Guy has composed music for hundreds of hours of television, including dramatic mini series, children's animation, documentaries, commercials and also a number of Australian feature films. His film music has underscored the acting performances of Toni Collette, Cate Blanchett, Hugo Weaving, Garry McDonald, Molly Ringwald, Kylie Minogue, Phil Collins, Guy Pearce and Olivia Newton John and his scores have been performed in concert by the Sydney, Melbourne and Queensland Symphony Orchestras.

Stephen Rae has been composing professionally since 1994. He works in film, television and theatre. Recent projects include Paper Giants, the birth of Cleo (2011), Rush Series 4 (2011) and Beaconsfield (2011).

Composer: Burkhard Dallwitz

Screen composer Burkhard Dallwitz was born in 1959 near Frankfurt, Germany and at the age of eight began classical piano training. By thirteen he was writing songs and music and soon after was writing, arranging and performing for various musical groups.

In 1979 Burkhard travelled to Australia and a year later became a permanent resident. There he studied Music at Melbourne's Latrobe University where he majored with Honours in Composition. Since 1984, he has worked as a composer for feature films, television and commercials.
