Production Music

AMCOS-controlled Production Music (PM) is music specifically written and recorded for inclusion in all forms of audio and audiovisual productions including adverts, films, DVDs, TV & radio programmes, websites, online games, music-on-hold and ringtones etc. It is available for convenient synchronisation or dubbing, and can provide an administratively simple and cost effective answer to your music needs.

In Australia and New Zealand APRA|AMCOS is the exclusive licensing body for Production Music. If you have any queries, contact the APRA|AMCOS PM Department at  or 02 9935 7751.

What do I need to do to use PM?

  1. Register as a Production Music client using the Online Client Registration Form.
  2. Source your Production Music from any of the PM Suppliers. You’ll need to quote your Production Music Client Number (PMCN).
  3. Use the music. Don’t forget to make a record of the track you use, including title, composers, Library and disc number and the duration you have used.
  4. Submit a Licence Application. You can do this either by logging on to our Online Licensing Facility or posting a paper licence application which you will have received in your pack when you registered.
  5. Pay the invoice we send you. The invoice will outline the invoiced party, name of the production, what clearances you have licensed and tracks used. This invoice doubles as your licence.
