ASIALINK - PERFORMING ARTS RESIDENCIES IN ASIA

Asialink is offering fantastic opportunities for Australian Citizens/Permanent Residents who have at least three years experience in their field to live and work in the Asian region.

BRISBANE CITY COUNCIL PERFORMING ARTS FELLOWSHIPS

A maximum grant of $20,000 is available to support young and emerging artists (between 17 and 30 years of age as of the closing date) to participate in national or international training and development programs that support their career development. Applicants must be nominated by an individual or organisation from within the arts and cultural sector. The fellowship activity can include travel and study, secondment to an organisation, tuition, professional mentoring and instruction or a combination of these activities. Grants recipients will be asked to identify with Council opportunities to showcase the benefits of the fellowship in Brisbane. This may include participation in a city events program, contribution to an exhibition or a presentation. CONTEMPORARY MUSIC TOURING PROGRAM

Applications are being sought for music touring from 1 July 2008 through the Australian Government's Contemporary Music Touring Program. Funding of up to $10,000 per application is available for bands and solo artists who play original contemporary music to tour within Australia. IAN POTTER CULTURAL TRUST

The Ian Potter Cultural Trust was established by The Ian Potter Foundation in 1993 for the purpose of providing grants to individuals in the early stages of their career as an artist. They provide grants for travel and even purchases of musical equipment. For more information, visit the website.

PPCA PERFORMER'S TRUST FOUNDATION

The PPCA Performer's Trust Foundation is made up of funds set aside by PPCA to promote and encourage music and the performing arts. Grants are awarded for purposes like theatrical education, performer aid and charitable performances.
