Receives A Riff-tastic Late Prize From Gibson Guitar Corp Ahead of May 31 Closing Date
APRA|AMCOS and Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy Australia (NRMTA) are excited to announce the late inclusion of Gibson Guitars as a major prize partner in the 2011 Vanda & Young Songwriting Competition. Via its philanthropic arm, The Gibson Foundation, the world’s leading guitar manufacturer will deliver to the winner an incredible Les Paul ‘Studio’ electric guitar valued at $2,500 AUD.
The inclusion of Gibson Guitars continues the brand’s long and treasured association with both NRMTA and with APRA | AMCOS. Both bodies recognise the importance of music and songwriting as the true global language, a value that is shared by Gibson Guitar Corp globally.
The winning songwriter will be announced on July 15 and will receive an astounding $50,000+ AUD career-changing prize package, with second and third place prize winners receiving prizes to the value of $6000 and $3000 respectively.
