3MBS 2010 National Composer Awards Winners

Congratulations to the 3MBS National Composer Award winners:
The APRA Special Commendation Award and $2,000 is awarded to Thomas Henry, also of Victoria for his 'Variations for Orchestra in three movements'.
The Betty Amsden Composition Award and $10,000 prize money is awarded to Kevin March of Victoria for his work entitled 'Kambarang'. This work will be performed by Orchestra Victoria live at the Classically Melbourne Concert on Monday August 9th.
Both composers live and work in Melbourne, and happen to know each other. Thank you to all composers who submitted works to the 2010 3MBS Composer Award, and thank you to the judges: Richard Divall (Chair), Richard Mills and Stuart Greenbaum. Their decision was unanimous.
