It Pays to Vote for APRA Song of the Year

Wednesday, 8 July 2009

“55,000 APRA members must be jealous right now!” - James Taylor.

If you’re not, you probably should be. For simply voting for his favourite song in this year’s APRA Song of the Year, James Taylor has picked up the Gibson Les Paul Studio Guitar, worth $2,499.

“I can't wipe the smile off my face. I had to sell my Gibson SG a few years ago for financial reasons; it's finally come back to me in a finer form! The "Les Paul" is the flagship”.

Based in the City of Ipswich in Queensland, James was absolutely ecstatic when he heard the good news, “It had been the worst week of my life, my dog had to be put down, my car had broken-down, and then I got the call from APRA, you made my day, in fact, my year!”

The 2009 APRA Song of the Year winner was announced at the APRA Music Awards late last month with The Living End’s "White Noise" taking the honours. Coincidently, James voted for that very song!
