The stars come out to present the 2010 Screen Music Awards

The Chaser’s ANDREW HANSEN and CHRIS TAYLOR will co-host the 2010 Screen Music Awards to be held at BMW Edge in Melbourne on Tuesday 9 November.

TheScreen Music Awards is the music industry’s annual celebration of excellence in the composition of music for film and television. The event is presented by APRA (Australasian Performing Right Association) and the AGSC (Australian Guild of Screen Composers).

Presenting awards this year are some of this country’s most admired screen stars:

  • Playschool presenter and acclaimed TV and film star, JUSTINE CLARKE
  • Award-winning actress, NONI HAZELHURST
  • Actor and comedian, BOB FRANKLIN
  • And darling of Australian screen, GIA CARIDES

 
PAUL GRABOWSKY AND ENSEMBLE will perform excerpts from scores nominated for the Feature Film Score of the Year with a special guest performance by Australian bluesman, ASH GRUNWALD.
 
Acknowledging music composers across 12 categories representing feature films, children’s television, advertising, documentaries, short films and everything in between, the SCREEN MUSIC AWARDS holds a unique place on the entertainment calendar, being the only ceremony celebrating the achievements of Australian screen composers.
