SONG TRAILS

Song Trails, a part of the Queensland Music Festival, returns to Maryborough from July 6-8.

The weekend will see iconic Australian musician Peter Farnan (Boom Crash Opera) and Sydney-based hip-hop star Morganics deliver sessions on songwriting and recording, giving participants insight into the artistry required to complete that 'self-penned masterpiece'. To cap it off, the weekend ends with a concert at the Brolga Theatre and Convention Centre where selected workshop participants will have the chance to showcase their own songs alongside Farnan and Morganics.

The weekend workshop is open to everyone 15 years and above, from high school students to old time storytellers. Attendance is $50 per person and pre-registration is necessary by Friday 29 June.

Register by contacting Queensland Music Festival on 07 3010 6600 or songtrails@qmf.org.au. Attendees are invited to bring instruments to the workshops.

Song Trails Weekend Maryborough is presented by Queensland Music Festival and Fraser Coast Regional Council in association with APRA.
