The Coopers Fuse East & West Showcase brings together 80 of the hottest new bands from around Australia to perform over two massive nights of FREE concerts across 18 of Adelaide’s best live music venues. Artists have the opportunity to pitch their act to the influx of music industry professionals, conference delegates and the general public. Fuse 2012 are thrilled to announce an incredible lineup of the best unearthed Australian acts to play the Coopers Fuse East & West Showcase on Wed 22nd and Thurs 23rd of February respectively.

Fuse Festival 2012 presents a unique opportunity to learn from some of the world’s leading music industry professionals. In 2012, Fuse Festival has put together an incredible list of representatives from leading touring and management agencies, record companies, licensing firms and media outlets to present panels on some of the most relevant and  topical issues facing the contemporary music industry. Held at Nova Cinema on Rundle Street, the Fuse Festival Conference will take place on Thursday 23rd & 24th February and will include informative panel discussions, keynote speeches, round table discussions and evening networking drinks.

Back by popular demand, the Fuse Festival Management Masterclass, designed as an intensive workshop for artist managers and self-managed bands will be held at Carclew Youth Arts on Wednesday 22nd February. Becoming more and more imperative in a forever changing  global music industry, this one day master-class includes information on how to run a band as a profitable business and offers an invaluable opportunity to gain personal insight from some of Australia’s most successful band managers.

apra presents fuse @ fringe

Fuse Festival culminates with the Fuse @ Fringe Showcase on Fri 24th February presented by APRA. Held at the official Fringe Club in Rymill Park following the Fringe Parade, Fuse @ Fringe presents a hand-picked line-up of export ready Australian artists. Previous bands to showcase include the Hilltop Hoods, The Audreys, The Shiny Brights, The Transatlantics, Wolf & Cub, City Riots and the John Steel Singers. Included in the line-up is the winner of the Fuse Festival Triple J Unearthed Competition which last year went to Brisbane based band, The Cairos. In addition, one lucky band from the showcase will also be given the opportunity to play Europe’s leading festival for new music, The Great Escape.
