I Manage My Music, a weekend workshop tailored to the self-managed musician, began in March 2011, quickly finding its place within the independent music sector. All five weekends booked out in advance with plans to take the workshops to a national level over the next two years.

Over the course of the weekend participants are given the opportunity to hear from experienced industry practitioners, examining business models and creative ideas to move their music projects forward in a way that is achievable, sustainable and financially realistic.

Throughout 2011, I Manage My Music heard from close to 30 music industry professionals including Wally de Backer (Gotye), Fiona Kitschin and Gareth Liddiard (The Drones) and Carlo Santone (Blue King Brown) with over 100 emerging and early career artists making the journey from SA, WA, TAS, NSW, ACT, country VIC and QLD to take part in the weekend intensive.
